Actress takes on ‘Unrequited’ love

It looks like the past is catching up with actress Sarah Habel.
Habel has been hired as the female lead in “Unrequited,” an indie thriller written by Jeff Day and Tom Lockridge and directed by Jason Epperson. Gil Holland, Mark Freiburger, Day and Lockridge are producing.
The psychological thriller follows a man who leaves a group home for troubled teens when he turns 18 and discovers that his former girlfriend (Habel) has moved on with another guy. He kidnaps her to try to regain her affection.
Habel, repped by APA and Fuel Film Works, has a recurring role on ABC’s comedy series “The Deep End,” which debuts in the fall, and co-stars in Drew Barrymore’s directorial debut “Whip It!” which Fox Searchlight is set to release in October.
